They value thoughtful problem-solving, open communication and high-quality work. About the Role Our client is seeking an experienced Web Developer to join their team on a full-time basis.

Working closely with their director, designers, digital strategists and other project stakeholders, the successful candidate will develop, enhance and maintain websites and browser-based applications for a diverse portfolio of clients. The successful candidate will be comfortable turning approved designs and business requirements into responsive, reliable and production-ready digital solutions. The typical job responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:

- Developing responsive websites and web application interfaces using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React and other appropriate web technologies.
- Converting approved designs, wireframes and project specifications into functional, accurate and production-ready digital experiences.




- Reviewing client and user requirements and contributing to technical solutions, development approaches and project planning.
- Building reusable front-end components and integrating them with backend services, APIs, databases and content management systems.
- Creating current website functionality and improving existing client websites through feature enhancements, interface updates and technical maintenance.
- Testing websites and applications across different browsers, screen sizes and devices to ensure consistent functionality and presentation.
- Identifying, investigating and resolving coding errors, interface issues and other technical problems in a timely manner.
- Improving website speed, responsiveness, accessibility, reliability and technical search-engine foundations.
- Writing clear, maintainable and well-structured code in accordance with agreed development standards and version-control practices.
- Supporting website releases and coordinating deployment, hosting, security and environment-related requirements with relevant technical specialists.
- Working collaboratively with designers, marketing specialists and project stakeholders to ensure technical outcomes align with the approved design and business objectives.
- Providing clear updates regarding development progress, delivery timeframes, technical constraints, project risks and changes in scope.
- Preparing and maintaining appropriate technical documentation for ongoing website support and future development.
- Protecting confidential client and business information and following professional development and information-security practices.





Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements to be considered for the role:

- At least two years of relevant professional experience in web development or a closely related role.
- A relevant bachelor’s degree or higher qualification in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
- Strong practical experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript and modern front-end development frameworks, particularly React.
- Demonstrated experience developing responsive websites from design files, wireframes or technical specifications.
- Experience integrating front-end applications with APIs, backend services and content management systems.
- Sound understanding of responsive design, cross-browser compatibility and modern web-development standards.
- Experience using Git or another version-control system in a professional development environment.
- Ability to test, diagnose and resolve website and application issues efficiently.
- Understanding of website performance optimisation, accessibility and technical SEO principles.
- Ability to produce clean, reusable and maintainable code.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to deliver work in accordance with project requirements and deadlines.
- Good written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with both technical and non-technical colleagues.
- Experience with WordPress, Umbraco, Microsoft Azure or similar content-management and hosting environments will be highly regarded.
