Position Title: Project Engineer
Primary Objective: Undertake complex project engineering entailing technical specifications and detailed planning to final commissioning and handover stage.
Responsibilities Including (but not limited to):
? Assist Project Managers and Senior Engineers in delivering building automation and control system projects from planning through to final handover.
? Support the design, configuration, installation, testing, and commissioning of Building Management Systems (BMS) and integrated building automation solutions for commercial and industrial projects.
? Coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers,technicians, and internal teams to ensure project milestones, technical requirements, and delivery schedules are achieved.
? Prepare and maintain project documentation, including engineering drawings, technical specifications, progress reports, commissioning records, and project files.
? Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and work with senior team members to implement practical solutions that support successful project delivery.
? Provide on-site engineering support during installation, testing, commissioning, and defect rectification activities to ensure systems perform as designed.
? Assist with project planning, scheduling, procurement coordination,
and resource allocation to support efficient project execution.
? Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with relevant Australian standards, workplace health and safety requirements, company procedures, and client quality expectations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or a related Engineering discipline
- Minimum of 3 years' post-qualification experience in project engineering, building automation, Building Management Systems (BMS),controls, or a related engineering environment.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Building Automation Systems (BMS), control systems, or industrial/commercial engineering projects.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a hands-on approach and willingness to work in office as required.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities while supporting the successful delivery of engineering projects.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and stakeholder management skills.
- Current Australian Driver's Licence.
