About the Role

We support clients with complex health conditions, intellectual disabilities, autism, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder and clients with significant behaviours of concern in a structured, contained environment.

You will work collaboratively with a skilled team to deliver current, complete, correct and compliant internal and external reporting, data analysis and recommendations to ensure legislative compliance and the highest standard of care for our clients

About you:

- Proven experience in conducting impartial investigations

- Ability to compile and interpret information to deliver accurate, complex responses

- Proficient in delivering information with clarity and professionalism

- Delivery of objective analysis of complex issues to support informed decision-making.

- The ability to manage competing work priorities to meet strict deadlines, in a fast-paced environment.

- Healthcare/Disability Services and not for profit organisation experience

- Strong analytical skills,



with the ability to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities from safeguards data

- A continuous improvement mindset, with a focus on accountability, documentation quality, and audit readiness

- Confidence working collaboratively with operational, clinical, and leadership stakeholders in high‑risk or time‑critical situations

You will have a working knowledge of the application of Federal and State Disability and Human Rights legislation and associated compliance reporting including:

- Disability Services Act 2006 (Qld and Victoria)

- National Disability Insurance Scheme Act 2013 and Amendments

- National Disability Insurance Scheme Rules and Regulations

- NDIS Practice Standards and Quality Indicators

Key Responsibilities:

- Complete all internal and external reporting that meets compliance requirements, is accurate and in a timely manner.

- Complete restrictive practice reporting to the NDIS commission’s database accurately and completely within the predetermined timeframes.

- Follow and prepare draft NDIS reportable documentation for approval by the Manager, Safeguards and Reporting

- Process incident and complaint (CWF and CCWF) reports as they are received.

- Draft corresponding risk assessments as required

- Communicate with Operations and Subject Matter Experts’ regarding investigation and close off.

- Communicate with staff for further information required for CWF investigations.

- Complete fortnightly and quarterly CWF history summaries, for Operations fortnightly and seasonal stakeholder reports.





- Identify and analyse trends in reporting data.

- Contribute positively to the Safeguards and Reporting Process Development

- Participate where required in the drafting of State compliant restrictive practices application documentation, and the corresponding supporting documentation

- Triage, coordinate, and support internal quality audits, including allocation, tracking, follow‑up, and closure of audit actions.

- Conduct quality assurance reviews of incident, complaint, restrictive practice, and departmental documentation prior to submission or approval.

- Review departmental documentation to ensure consistency, accuracy, and alignment with compliance, safeguards, and quality requirements.

- Monitor corrective actions and ensure completed tasks are formally closed with appropriate evidence retained.

Hours of Work

Hours are flexible depending on organisational requirements but are generally between the hours of 8am and 5pm.

NOTE: There will be times when the required work falls outside of these hours.

What You'll Need:

- Experience in Healthcare/Disability Services and not for profit organisations

- Highly skilled in Microsoft Office Suite (Forms, Excel, Word, Outlook etc.)

- Understanding of the principles of conducting impartial investigations

- Working knowledge level understanding of NDIS compliance requirements

- Experience using incident management systems, reporting tools, and document control platforms is highly desirable.

- Experience coordinating internal audits, maintaining action registers, and tracking corrective actions to completion with evidence

- Practical experience reviewing or supporting restrictive practice reporting, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and required timeframes are met

- NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (or willing to obtain)

- Working with Children Check Clearance (or willing to obtain)

- Current Driver License

- Willingness to learn
