Benefits Full-time salaried role, 38 hours per week (5 days / week) Annual salary: $71,500 + superannuation Task & responsibilities Your responsibilities: Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to recipes, restaurant standards and daily service requirements.

Execute cooking processes with precision, balancing timing, temperature, and flavour to achieve consistently high standards. Check the quality and freshness of foodstuffs and raw ingredients before preparation and cooking. Season and adjust food during cooking to achieve the required flavour, texture and consistency.

Enforce strict compliance with food safety, hygiene, and workplace health protocols (SITXFSA006 – Participate in safe food handling practices). Oversee storage and preservation of produce using methods such as freezing, vacuum-sealing, or other quality-control systems. Assist with estimating ingredient and stock requirements according to expected service needs.





Liaise with kitchen and front-of-house teams to ensure smooth service flow and address any operational concerns during service. Occasionally assist with onboarding and training kitchen team members to maintain a culture of professionalism and continuous improvement. Qualification & experience AQF or equivalent Certificate III in Commercial Cookery including at least two years of on-the-job training, or AQF or equivalent Certificate IV in Kitchen Management and 1 year of full time work experience as a Cook.

At least 3 years of full time work experience as a Cook in the last 5 years may substitute for the qualification requirement. Mandatory certificate: SITXFSA006 – Participate in protected food handling practices. About Company
