Job Description

Snyder Global Pty Ltd The Chief Information Officer (CIO) is responsible for setting and executing the technology strategy for a precious metals trading business operating across physical bullion trading, digital products, payments, compliance, and secure operational workflows. The role leads the design, implementation, security, and continuous improvement of the organisation’s information systems, trading technology, data infrastructure, and digital platforms to support growth, regulatory compliance, operational resilience, and customer trust.

The CIO will work closely with executive leadership, trading, operations, finance, compliance, risk, logistics, and sales teams to ensure technology enables effective bullion transactions, secure custody and logistics processes, accurate pricing and reporting, and scalable customer-facing products. Benefits N/A Task & responsibilities Technology strategy and leadership Develop and implement the organisation’s enterprise technology strategy in alignment with commercial objectives, regulatory requirements, and operational priorities. Advise the executive team on technology investment, digital transformation, cybersecurity, data governance, and systems architecture.

Build, lead, and mentor high-performing engineering, infrastructure, data, and IT operations teams. Establish technology roadmaps, budgets, governance frameworks, and delivery priorities across the business. Trading systems and operational technology Oversee the design, implementation, and optimisation of systems supporting physical precious metals trading, pricing, inventory visibility, procurement, wholesale and retail distribution, and transaction execution.

Ensure technology supports real-time or near real-time pricing, trade capture,



reconciliation, reporting, and operational controls. Improve systems used for supply chain coordination, refining workflows, vaulting interfaces, logistics tracking, and secure fulfilment. Partner with commercial and operations teams to identify automation opportunities that improve speed, accuracy, and scalability.

Digital products and customer platforms Lead the development and enhancement of customer-facing digital platforms, including bullion trading portals, savings or investment products, payment integrations, and mobile or web applications where relevant. Drive product delivery disciplines that support efficient development cycles, quality assurance, and timely release management. Work with product, design, and commercial teams to deliver secure, intuitive, and commercially effective digital experiences.

Information security, risk and compliance Establish and maintain robust cybersecurity, access control, incident response, disaster recovery, and business continuity frameworks. Ensure systems and data practices support AML, KYC, privacy, payments, and other applicable legal and regulatory obligations across relevant jurisdictions. Partner with compliance and risk teams to implement controls for client onboarding, transaction monitoring, record keeping, and audit readiness.

Oversee vendor and third-party technology risk management, including payment providers, KYC platforms, cloud services, and external software partners. Data,



reporting and governance Lead the organisation’s data strategy, including data architecture, reporting capability, analytics, and governance standards. Ensure the integrity, availability, and security of business-critical data across trading, finance, operations, and customer systems.

Deliver management information and dashboards that support pricing decisions, operational oversight, compliance monitoring, and strategic planning. Infrastructure and service delivery Oversee core IT infrastructure, cloud environments, enterprise applications, integrations, and end-user support services. Maintain resilient, scalable, and secure systems with appropriate monitoring, change management, and service management disciplines.

Manage technology procurement, vendor relationships, and service performance against agreed standards. Qualification & experience Tertiary qualification in information technology, computer science, engineering, or a related discipline. Postgraduate business or technology qualifications are advantageous.
