We have an opening for the following roles based near Durak WA 2 x Full Time Commis Chef 2 x FT Commis Chef – Level 4 (as per Hospitality Industry (General) Award 2020, Cook Grade 3 – Tradesperson) Approximate commencement dates is September 2026. This job will run for approximately 2 years. You will work a minimum of 38hrs per work. The job may have wide-ranging responsibilities and duties which may include:
- Prepare and cook food according to recipes and required standards.
- Prepare and assemble ingredients for cooking.
- Assist with baking, pastry cooking or butchering duties as required.
- Ensure food quality, presentation and portion standards are maintained.
- Assist with daily food production and kitchen operations.
- Maintain kitchen areas, cooking equipment and utensils in a clean and hygienic condition.
- Monitor food supplies and report shortages to the chef or manager.
- Follow food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety requirements.
- Work with other kitchen employees to maintain efficient food preparation and service.
- Assist with training or provide guidance to lower-classified kitchen employees where required.
- Perform other reasonable duties consistent with the employee’s skills, training, education and experience.
Applicants must be available to work weekends and public holidays as required. You must perform such additional duties and responsibilities as required from time to time, provided they are within your skills, training, education and experience. There will be potential to upskill and training will be provided. You do not have to be an Australian citizen to apply for this work, but you will need to hold a valid working visa.
