Port Adelaide Construction is seeking experienced pipe welders to join our dynamic team. Based in Largs Bay, South Australia, this full-time role will see you playing a crucial part in the construction and maintenance of a variety of piping systems.
What you'll be doing
- Performing high-quality pipe welding in accordance with industry standards and project specifications
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and plans to ensure accurate workmanship
- Collaborating with the project team to deliver piping installations and repairs within agreed timelines
- Adhering to strict health, safety and quality control procedures
- Providing guidance and mentoring to junior welders as required
What we're looking for
- Proven experience as a pipe welder, ideally within the construction or manufacturing industries
- Strong working knowledge of welding techniques, including TIG, MIG and stick welding
- Proficiency in all three welding techniques (TIG, MIG, and stick welding) is essential for this role
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
- Familiarity with quality control processes and safety protocols
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Trade qualification in welding is required
