The Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive Medical Receptionist to join our Salisbury team.

The position is casual and working hours are expected to be at least two days per week with scope for additional hours as more practitioners join. There will be occasional weekends and late closes.

Hours may vary depending on the availability of practitioners and other employees, and additional ad hoc shifts may be available for planned and unplanned leave.

What You'll Be Doing

- Greeting patients and visitors with a friendly and professional approach

- Answering telephone enquiries and managing appointments

- Processing billings, payments and Medicare transactions

- Maintaining accurate patient records and ensuring confidentiality

- Assisting practitioners and nurses with day-to-day administrative support

- Managing incoming correspondence, scanning and filing documents

- Helping maintain a skilled, organised and welcoming clinic environment

About You

To be successful in this role, you'll ideally have:

- Medical reception experience (highly regarded but not essential)

- BestPractice and/or Pracsuite experience (highly regarded but not essential)

- Previous reception, administration or customer service experience





- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Excellent attention to detail and organisational abilities

- Confidence using computer systems and learning new software

- A positive attitude and commitment to delivering outstanding customer service

- The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
