Qualified Air Solutions Pty Ltd trading as Vangaurd Tasmania is seeking a qualified dual trade HVAC/Electrical technician to join the team.

About the role

You'll work across residential and commercial sites throughout Tasmania as a dual-trade HVAC&R;/Electrical Technician, carrying out commercial project work, preventative and reactive maintenance on HVAC/R systems, fault finding and diagnostics, small refrigeration, cool rooms, freezers, VRF, split system and package unit work (and everything inbetween), electrical troubleshooting and repairs, commissioning and decommissioning, clear communication and maintaining quality relationships with clients and internal staff, and participation in a rotating on-call roster. The role offers good variety and autonomy, with support when you need it.

Key responsibilities

- Commercial project work

- Preventative and reactive maintenance on HVAC/R systems

- Fault finding and diagnostics

- Small refrigeration, cool rooms, freezers, VRF, split system and package unit work

- Electrical troubleshooting and repairs

- Commissioning and decommissioning





- Clear communication and maintaining quality relationships with clients and internal staff

- Participation in a rotating on-call roster

Qualifications

- Cert III Refrigeration & Air Conditioning

- Refrigerant Handling Licence

- Tasmanian Electrical Licence

- Strong diagnostic skills and a practical, methodical approach

- High safety standards

- Current manual driver's licence

- Working With Vulnerable People (WWVP) accreditication (or willingness to obtain)

- WPCG accreditation (desirable)

- Fire protection experience (desirable)
