Overview of Role:

As the Centre Coordinator, you will provide leadership and strategic direction to advance our mission and achieve our organisational goals. It is a hands on leadership role that balances being present on the floor to oversee families and staff during our busiest times, with the strategic and governance work that keeps the service strong and sustainable. This role is pivotal in driving growth, enhancing operational excellence, and fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration within our dynamic team.

This is a full time position worked across a fortnightly rostered pattern that includes every second weekend and shifts until 6:00pm. There is flexibility in the working arrangement, but weekend availability and a genuine willingness to be on site supporting families and staff during peak periods are essential parts of this role.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement strategic plans that align with our mission and vision, ensuring sustainable growth and impact.

Financial Oversight: Oversee financial management and funding arrangements to secure resources necessary for our programs and initiatives.

Stakeholder Engagement: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders including community partners, government agencies, and the Management Committee.





Team Development: Inspire, mentor, and empower a dedicated team of professionals, promoting a culture of accountability, diversity, and inclusion.

Advocacy and Representation: Serve as the primary spokesperson and advocate for our organization, representing our interests at local, regional, and national levels.

The Successful Candidate must have:

- Relevant tertiary qualifications or commensurate industry experience.

- Experience leading and supervising a team.

- Knowledge of child safety, child development, and the dynamics of family breakdown and domestic and family violence.

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build consensus and inspire trust among diverse stakeholders.

- Sound judgement under pressure, and skills in consultation, negotiation and conflict resolution.

- The ability to maintain confidentiality and to work with discretion and sensitivity.

- A commitment to equity and to the mission of our organisation.

Preferred but not essential:

- Experience in children's contact service operations, or a related family or child focused service.

- Experience with funding compliance, rostering, records and reporting.
