As Practice Manager, you’ll play a key role in supporting both our team and the day-to-day running of the hospital. You’ll work closely with the practice owner and senior clinical team to help keep things running smoothly, support our people and ensure we continue to provide an exceptional standard of veterinary care and client service.
Key responsibilities
- Leading and supporting our veterinary, nursing and reception teams
- Supporting staff development, performance and day-to-day team management
- Coordinating rostering and workforce planning
- Helping maintain a consistently high standard of client care and service
- Liaising with clients and helping resolve concerns or complaints in a professional and compassionate way
- Overseeing the smooth day-to-day running of the hospital
- Helping improve systems, policies and workflows
- Supporting workplace health and safety and practice compliance
- Managing purchasing and helping maintain operational efficiency
- Working collaboratively with suppliers and external service providers
- Coordinating equipment, facilities and maintenance requirements
About you
- Previous experience in practice management, operations management or a comparable senior leadership role preferred.
- Strong people-management and communication skills
- The confidence to manage difficult conversations when required
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills
- Strong attention to detail
- The ability to prioritise and manage multiple competing demands
- A kind, supportive approach with the ability to find practical solutions
- An understanding of HR, rostering and workplace processes
- The ability to work independently while remaining part of a team-oriented leadership team
- Experience within the veterinary or healthcare industry would also be highly regarded, but exceptional management experience from another service-based industry will be considered.
- Experience with RX Works preferred

What we offer
This is a senior management position designed around a 30-hour working week.
- $53 per hour + super - Equivalent to approximately $104,700 FTE
- 30 hours per week, with flexibility around how those hours are structured
