St John of God Midland Public Hospital we provide a comprehensive range of services including emergency medicine, critical care, day chemotherapy, paediatric care, aged and stroke care, maternity and general surgery.
Our 307-bed public hospital is operated under a public-private partnership between the State Government and St John of God Health Care.
Our Services include wide range of public health care services for people in Midland and surrounding communities. Our services include 24-hour emergency care, public maternity care, Aboriginal pregnancy and maternity support through Moort Boojari Mia, acute mental health treatment and medical and surgical care.
Your role at St John of God Midland Public Hospital
To provide clinical and administrative support to Dietitians and other allied health and nursing staff as required, with a primary focus on supporting nutrition services and patient care.
The Position
Manages the Home Enteral Nutrition (HEN) Program under the direction of the Dietetic Manager, including patient registration, ordering, confirming deliveries, liaising with suppliers, and maintaining the HEN database. Completes nutrition screening in accordance with established proceduresAssists the treating Dietitian with the implementation and monitoring of prescribed nutrition care plans, including support with discharge planningPrepares patient education materials, resources, and handouts as directed by the Dietitian. Supports the provision of basic nutrition education and reinforcement of Dietitian-prescribed advice within scope of practice. Assists with the collection of nutrition-related data and completion of clinical and service audits.
You will hold a Cert III in Allied Health Assistance,
or have suitable experience in a similar position or be currently completing tertiary study in an Allied Health discipline.
To succeed, you will have highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, an ability to relate to others in a sensitive and professional manner and well-developed organisational skills, with an ability to manage your own workflow and cope with competing demands.
