Senior Case Manager
Full time – 37.5 hours per week

About the role
We are offering a permanent role of Senior Case Manager in the team at our Railway Parade West Leederville office. The Redress Support Service provides support to individuals who have experienced Institutional Child Sexual Abuse and who are making an application for redress. The Senior Case Manager is a specialist practice leadership position responsible for supporting the effective delivery of the Redress Support Service. The role provides day-to-day practice guidance, workflow coordination and specialist support to Case Managers, ensuring clients receive high-quality assistance throughout their engagement with the National Redress Scheme. A key function of the position is acting as the primary liaison with the National Redress Scheme, supporting practitioners to prepare and progress applications, address complex matters and achieve positive client outcomes.
The current vacancy is 37.5 hours per week.
Skills, experience, and qualifications
Tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Psychology, Counselling or Social Sciences-with knowledge of the impact of, and considerations for working with those who have experienced Childhood Sexual Abuse.
Essential criteria:
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to effectively engage over the telephone for extended periods of time.
· Commitment to supporting disadvantaged community members, particularly adults who as children have experienced institutional care.
· Demonstrated knowledge and ability to effectively engage and to provide support services to people who have experienced complex trauma, supporting clients in crisis, and to interact with people who may be emotional, and/or who present with challenging behaviour.
· Sound practice in maintaining safety, and the ability to work effectively, outside of the office environment including home visits, willingness to work in offsite locations including outreach to rural/remote locations throughout WA.
- Experience in coordinating operational aspects of service delivery.
· Experience in mentoring team members and providing practice guidance
· WA Police Force National Police Clearance (obtain upon request) and a current Working with Children Check or willingness to obtain both, incorporating criminal and traffic convictions and infringements.
· A current West Australian driver’s licence and use of personal vehicle.
· Ability to travel to regional/remote (including light aircraft) areas if required.
