At Transmetric, we’ve built a respected name working for government agencies in Australia and the US. We've acquired an electrical division and we are looking for someone to lead it. We aren't just filling a spot on a crew; we’re looking for a foundational Leading Hand Electrician with Solar & Battery Accreditation who wants to set the standard, shape the site culture, and grow into a senior leadership role as the team expands around them.

Key responsibilities

- Foundational Leadership: Be the primary lead on-site, laying the groundwork for work quality, safety, and team culture as the crew expands.

- Renewables & BESS: Lead the installation, testing, and commissioning of grid-connect solar PV systems, battery energy storage systems (BESS), and EV chargers.

- Domestic & Residential Works: Oversee high-end domestic electrical installations, home upgrades, switchboard modernisations, and smart home energy integrations.

- Compliance & Quality: Interpret single-line diagrams and system designs to ensure all work strictly complies with AS/NZS 3000, AS/NZS 5033, AS/NZS 5139, and company standards.

- Safety Culture & Oversight: Lead by example when it comes to site safety—ensuring robust SWMS/JSEA implementation,



safe working at heights practices, and driving an uncompromising safety-first culture across all jobs.

- Client Interaction: Act as the primary technical point of contact in office, delivering clear system handovers and exceptional service to homeowners and builders.

What we're looking for

- Qualifications: Current Victorian A-Grade Electrical Licence.

- Accreditation: Current SCAA / Clean Energy Council Solar & Battery (Storage) Accreditation.

- Certifications: Current White Card, Working at Heights certification, and a valid Manual Driver's Licence.

- Experience: Proven track record running domestic or renewable energy projects, with the confidence to mentor upcoming apprentices and trade assistants.

- Attributes & Qualities: A true professional who takes genuine pride in clean, precise installations; a proactive problem-solver with strong communication skills, a team-first mindset, and the drive to help build an industry-leading team
