About the role
We are seeking an experienced Accounts Administrator to join our finance team at our Perth office on a full-time basis. This is a key position within our accounting operations, responsible for the day-to-day management of financial transactions, record-keeping, and general ledger maintenance. The Accounts Administrator will play a vital role in ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting whilst supporting the broader finance function. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your accounting expertise within a professional and supportive environment.
What you'll be doing
- Processing and reconciling invoices, purchase orders, receipting payments
- Maintaining accurate records in a trust account environment
- Preparing bank reconciliations and investigating discrepancies
- Preparing and filing routine financial reports and documentation
- Assisting with month-end and year-end closing procedures
- Data entry and maintenance of financial records using accounting software systems
- Supporting the finance team with ad-hoc projects and administrative tasks as required
- Ensuring compliance with company policies and financial procedures
- Liaising with internal departments and external suppliers regarding financial matters
What we're looking for
- A recognised qualification in accounting or bookkeeping, such as AAT, MYOB, or equivalent
- Proven experience as an Accounts Administrator, Accounts Clerk, or similar role within an accounting environment
- Strong proficiency with accounting software packages such as MRI or Cirrus8 and Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy in financial record-keeping
- Solid understanding of general accounting principles and trust accounts
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Professional approach with demonstrated commitment to confidentiality and data security
