We our looking for an enthusiastic and personable Receptionist to join our busy and supportive team. You will be the welcoming face and voice of Southcare, greeting visitors, answering telephone enquiries and providing administrative support to help ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of our organisation,
About the Role
This role is required to provide high-quality front-of-house service to participants, visitors, staff, volunteers and other stakeholders, both in person and over the phone and to support effective day-to-day business operations.
The role will provide dedicated reception coverage from 10:00am to 2:00pm each working day ensuring the reception area is professionally maintained, participants and visitors are assisted promptly and professionally, and services are delivered in line with Southcare Values.
If successful you will be the first point of contact for Southcare and you will be responsible for greeting visitors, responding to general enquiries, answering and directing internal and external telephone calls and ensuring messages are accurately recorded and communicated. You will receive, process and distribute incoming and outgoing mail, manage general email enquiries by responding directly or forwarding these to the appropriate department. You will also be responsible for processing EFTPOS payments received by Southcare.

To be successful in this role you will bring;
- A genuine interest in aged care and working in the community and who are committed to making a difference to the lives of older Australians
- Previous experience and/or relevant training in similar role
- Demonstrated ability to provide participants, visitors and staff with an exceptional service experience
- Demonstrated ability to communicate and liaise effectively with all levels of staff, participants and visitors, including the ability to use discretion with confidential and sensitive information.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Demonstrated understanding of person-centered care and a willingness to work within Southcare's Mission & Values
- National Police Certificate in line with the requirements of the Aged Care Act
- High level of computer literacy
- Personal presentation appropriate for a front-of-house position
