You will work across a variety of carpentry and building projects, giving you the chance to use your existing skills while continuing to develop your experience in a practical and varied environment. Projects may include remote housing, residential and commercial construction, renovations and general building works. Working-away-from-home allowances are paid on top of your normal remuneration for eligible remote work.

- Renovations, repairs and maintenance
- Reading plans and working from specifications
- Working safely and maintaining high standards of workmanship
- Working alongside other trades and team members
- Maintaining tools, vehicles and work areas
- Completing work efficiently, professionally and to a high standard
About you
- A fully qualified carpenter or in the final year of their apprenticeship
- Preferred experience in the following areas is highly regarded:
- Concreting
- Blockwork
- Painting
- Roofing, cladding and flashing
- External linings
- Tiling
- General building and maintenance worksExperienced in general carpentry and building work
- Reliable, punctual and hardworking
- Safety-conscious with a strong work ethic
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Proud of the quality of their workmanship
- Willing to learn, develop and take on new challenges
- Physically fit and comfortable working in a variety of environments
- Interested in relocating to Alice Springs and committing to a long-term position
