About the Role
We are seeking a People & Culture Advisor to join our team and support the delivery of high-quality HR services across the organisation. This role is key to partnering with leaders and employees to build consistent workforce practices and support day-to-day people matters.
Reporting to the Employee Relations Manager, you will work across our sites, providing practical HR advice, managing employee relations matters and contributing to People & Culture initiatives and projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day People & Culture advice on employee relations, performance, conduct and policy matters
- Manage employee relations cases of moderate complexity, escalating high-risk matters as required
- Support managers through performance management processes, including planning and documentation
- Partner with leaders on recruitment, selection, onboarding and workforce decisions
- Contribute to People & Culture projects, policy development and organisational change initiatives
- Use workforce data and insights to support decision-making and continuous improvement
- Identify emerging workforce risks, engagement issues and retention concerns and escalate appropriately
About You
You’re a proactive and approachable HR professional who enjoys working closely with leaders and making a practical impact across the employee lifecycle.
Essential
- Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Employment Relations, Organisational Psychology or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
- At least 3 years demonstrated experience providing employee relations advice and managing cases including performance management, policy interpretation and award or enterprise agreement matters.
- Experience supporting recruitment, selection and onboarding processes, including providing advice to hiring managers.
- Experience supporting or delivering People & Culture projects, initiatives and organisational change activities.
- Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgement in sensitive matters.
- Proficiency in workforce systems and Microsoft Office applications, with the ability to operate effectively in environments at varying levels of system maturity.
Desirable
- Experience in aged care, health, community services or another highly regulated environment.
- Knowledge of the Aged Care Award, relevant enterprise agreements or sector-specific industrial instruments.
Mandatory Requirements
- National Police Clearance (or willingness to obtain)
