Role details
The Workforce Partnerships and Professional Development at the Mackay Community Health Centre is seeking applications for a Mental Health Act Delegate to join their team on a permanent basis.

Your opportunity
Provide expert advice to senior health professionals within the Mackay Authorised Mental Health Service with respect to the administration of the Queensland Mental Health Act 2016. Develop, implement, review and maintain internal systems, processes and work practices to identify areas for improvement and recommend and implement enhancements to existing practices in relation to the administration of the Queensland Mental Health Act 2016 across the Mackay Network. Act as administrator for CIMHA in relation to Mental Health Act for the Mackay Network Authorised Mental Health Service.
Deliver and co-ordinate training sessions to relevant staff across the Network to ensure all staff are aware of their responsibilities in documenting and recording information in accordance with Mental Health Act 2016 legislation including relevant policies, procedures and work instructions.

Staff members of the Workforce Partnerships and Professional Development Team, work within a multi-disciplinary team framework to deliver high quality services safely and with a robust culture of continuing improvement. Staff work collaboratively with each other and with consumers, their families/carers and external service providers.
