Drive operational excellence for a trusted West Australian, child-and-family-focused organisation.

About TSH

Established in 1967, Teach Speak Hear (TSH) is an admired Western Australian not‑for‑profit organisation, independent school and NDIS provider supporting children with hearing, speech and language difficulties to communicate, connect and learn.

We are a medium sized and growing, values-based, purpose-led organisation, about to celebrate our 60th year of supporting and changing the lives of WA children and families. We are now looking to the next 60 years; setting the organisation up for ongoing success and future growth through the appointment of a Head of School.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the CEO and serving as a key member of the TSH Executive team, the Head of School will provide strategic, operational and regulatory leadership across the TSH school and its programs. The role will work in close partnership with fellow Executive leaders to ensure seamless, integrated operations across all programs, sites and functions of the organisation.

About You

You are an experienced senior leader and educator with a track record of operating at an executive level in a health, disability, human services or related setting.

You Bring:

- Significant experience in education, with a strong emphasis on learning support, inclusive education, and leadership of complex educational services.

- Demonstrated experience in educational quality, curriculum and pedagogy, program design, and leadership of multidisciplinary or integrated service environments.

- Strong conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving capability; high-level interpersonal and stakeholder skills; sound judgement; and the ability to work effectively at both strategic and operational levels.

- Proven capability in regulatory compliance, governance, quality systems, risk management and child safety.

- Strong financial acumen with divisional P&L; responsibility and experience in achieving revenue, cost and productivity targets.

- Highly developed people leadership skills, with the ability to build high‑performing, inclusive teams with the ability to lead leaders, drive school improvement, and contribute credibly at an executive level.

A tertiary qualification in education, leadership, management, or related discipline is required, preferably with postgraduate qualifications in leadership and/or management (or equivalent executive‑level experience).

You will also possess current registration with the Teacher Registration Board of Western Australia, or eligibility to hold registration, together with all other credentials required for school leadership in Western Australia.

Specialist training or demonstrated expertise in special education, inclusive education, early intervention, or related fields relevant to TSH’s service model will be highly desirable.

Commitment to child safety, inclusion and ethical practice is essential. You will be required to hold, or be eligible to obtain, a Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check.

Why Join TSH?

You will have the opportunity to shape the future of a respected, purpose-driven organisation, lead a significant portfolio with real impact for children and families and work within a collaborative, values-based executive team.
