ABOUT US

We are an established metal fabrication and manufacturing business delivering high-quality custom work from design and estimation through to workshop production and on-site installation.

Our fabrication team is supported by a strong office, operations, drafting and estimating team. We operate in a practical, fast-paced environment where teamwork, clear communication, quality and reliable scheduling matter.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Workshop Coordinator provides confident, hands-on leadership to a small team of tradespeople and apprentices while remaining actively involved in fabrication, production and site work.

This is not your average coordination role. You will organise daily and weekly work, allocate responsibilities, conduct pre-start meetings, monitor progress and directly address performance, behaviour or quality issues.

You will work closely with the office, drafting and estimating teams to prepare upcoming projects, resolve practical production issues and keep work moving to schedule. You will have the support and authority to lead effectively and will be accountable for the areas under your control.

- Inspect work during production, correct problems early and help prevent repeat issues.

- Ensure completed work is accurate and ready for delivery, installation or customer handover.

On-Site Operations

- Lead and participate in on-site installation, modification and fabrication work.

- Coordinate projects from workshop production through to on-site completion.

- Ensure the team arrives prepared with the correct drawings, tools, materials and equipment.

- Resolve practical installation issues and communicate variations, delays or design changes to the office team.

- Represent the business professionally and ensure work is safely and successfully completed.

Culture, Safety and Organisation

- Build a team culture based on accountability, pride, respect, teamwork and high standards.
