An exciting opportunity exists to join the ANMF (SA Branch) as a dedicated and experienced Bargaining Officer

About the Role:

The Bargaining Officer leads enterprise bargaining and provides strategic industrial advice to improve members’ wages, conditions and workplace rights.

Working closely with members, workplace representatives and organisers, you will develop bargaining strategies, negotiate enterprise agreements and manage bargaining matters through to approval.

Key responsibilities

- Lead enterprise agreement negotiations with employers and their representatives.

- Develop bargaining strategies informed by member priorities, industrial trends and workplace intelligence.

- Manage bargaining processes in accordance with the Fair Work Act 2009 (Cth).

- Prepare and conduct Fair Work Commission proceedings and applications, including protected action ballot orders and agreement approvals.

- Interpret, analyse and draft industrial instruments and provide strategic industrial advice.

- Work with our PLO / Organising team to strengthen member participation, workplace engagement and bargaining campaigns.

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will bring a strong understanding of enterprise bargaining and industrial relations, along with a genuine commitment to advocating for members' rights and achieving positive member outcomes.

To be considered for the position you will need to meet the following criteria:

Qualifications and relevant experience as either:

- a legal practitioner; and/or;

- an industrial relations practitioner/advocate; or

- a union official with bargaining experience.

You will also bring strong advocacy and negotiation skills, experience in enterprise bargaining, the ability to interpret industrial instruments and legislation, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and a commitment to trade union principles. A current driver's licence and DHS Working with Children Check (WWCC)



or have the ability to obtain one, are required.

The Bargaining Officer position is offered at RN2/3 classification, depending on qualifications and relevant experience, in accordance with the ANMF (SA Branch) Employees Agreement.
