Casual/Part-Time Opportunities

We are looking for an experienced and reliable Welder / Fabricator / Boilermaker to join our team on a casual or part-time basis.

This is a hands-on role working across a variety of fabrication, welding, repair and maintenance tasks within a busy agricultural environment. The work is varied, so we are looking for someone who enjoys problem-solving and takes pride in producing quality work.

About the Role

Your duties may include:

- General fabrication and repairing of farming equipment

- Studying blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine job requirements

- Select, clean and prepare metal stock

- Mark off and fabricate structural steel and other metal stock to make or repair metal products and structures

- Cutting out marked stock using a selection of tools

- Shaping and bending metal sections using hand and machine tools

- Aligning parts to be joined using hand tools and measuring instruments





- Joining metal sections using various welding techniques, bolting and riveting

- Examining welds for width of bead, penetration and precision

- Finishing off products by cleaning, polishing, filing and bathing in acidic solutions

- Cleaning and smoothing welds by filing, chiselling and grinding

- Assist in all aspects of cleaning and maintenance of assembled articles, buildings and workshops to maintain a healthy work workplace.

About You

We are looking for someone who:

- Has previous welding, fabrication or boilermaking experience

- Has good practical and problem-solving skills

- Can work independently and manage their workload

- Takes pride in completing work to a high standard

- Is reliable, self-motivated and safety conscious
