Lead, support and grow with a team that values great clinical care

Can Speak Allied Health is looking for an experienced and passionate Speech Pathologist to join our team as a Speech Pathology Team Leader.

This is an exciting opportunity for a clinician who enjoys working clinically while also supporting other Speech Pathologists to grow, develop their skills and deliver high-quality, family-centered care.

At Can Speak, we believe that outstanding clinical leadership comes from clinicians who understand the realities of the work. Our practice is led by a practicing Speech Pathologist, with a strong focus on clinical quality, professional development, collaboration and supporting our clinicians to build sustainable careers.

You will work closely with our Head of Speech Pathology, providing clinical leadership and support to your own team of Speech Pathologists while continuing to maintain a reduced clinical caseload.

About the role

As Speech Pathology Team Leader, you will:

- Provide day-to-day clinical leadership and support to a team of Speech Pathologists.

- Report directly to the Head of Speech Pathology.

- Provide clinical supervision, mentoring and support to clinicians within your team.

- Work towards agreed clinical and team targets, with regular support from the Head of Speech Pathology.

- Support clinicians with clinical reasoning, complex cases, goal setting and intervention planning.

- Encourage reflective practice, evidence-based practice and neuroaffirming approaches.

- Contribute to the development of clinical resources, systems and team processes.

- Support the professional development and growth of Speech Pathologists across the team.

- Maintain your own paediatric clinical caseload across clinic and community settings.

- Collaborate closely with our Occupational Therapy and administration teams.

- Participate in case discussions, team meetings and multidisciplinary collaboration.

What makes Can Speak different?

We want our clinicians to feel supported, connected and valued.

As a Team Leader, you will have access to:

Dedicated clinical leadership support
You will work closely with our Head of Speech Pathology, with fortnightly one-to-one supervision focused on your leadership, clinical work and professional development.

Protected peer supervision
Our Speech Pathologists have 2 hours of peer supervision each week, creating regular opportunities to discuss cases, share ideas and learn from one another.

A collaborative multidisciplinary environment
Work alongside our Occupational Therapy team and dedicated administration staff. You won't be expected to do everything yourself.

A great clinical environment
Our clinic provides dedicated office and therapy spaces, including sensory gym facilities, supporting a wide range of paediatric therapy needs.

Varied clinical work
Work across clinic and community settings and support children and young people across the full scope of paediatric Speech Pathology, including communication, speech, language, literacy, fluency, AAC and feeding.

Professional development and connection
We value getting together, celebrating our team and continuing to learn. Our team enjoys an annual retreat and quarterly team-building days, alongside regular professional development opportunities. You will have access to an PD budget and additional PD leave as well as weekly team meetings for internal PD.

About you

We are looking for an experienced Speech Pathologist who:
