Perth CBD | Full-Time | Permanent | Tax Accountant | Energy industryOur client is a leading energy company seeking an experienced Tax Accountant to join its Finance team in Perth. The role focuses on tax-effect accounting, while also supporting JV accounting, group consolidation and financial reporting.Key responsibilities include:Supporting the Tax Manager with tax-effect accounting entries and reconciliations, annual income tax return inputs, and PRRT working papers. *This will be the primary task.Supporting end-to-end JV accounting, including monthly cost allocations, cash calls, JV billing statements, partner billings, and fixed asset accounting.Assisting with the group consolidation journals and reconciliations,



including entities with a US$ functional currency.Supporting quarterly and annual management reporting to the Head Office.Assisting with statutory financial statement preparation and audit schedules.Candidate profile:Approximately 5-7+ years of practical accounting experience.Sound understanding of tax-effect accounting.Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups and data handling.Robust communication and stakeholder coordination skills.Highly organised and able to manage competing deadlines in a multi-entity reporting environment.Relevant accounting qualifications.Japanese language skills are preferred but not essential.Experience in the following areas would be highly regarded:SAP, particularly S/4HANA.Oil & gas, resources, or other JV-based industries.JV accounting, consolidation and/or tax.Multi-currency accounting environments or consolidation systems.Please note: Only candidates with full Australian working rights will be considered for this position.HOW TO APPLYClick "APPLY NOW" to register for this role.
