Are you an organised, people-focused leader who thrives in a fast-paced setting and loves making a difference every day?
Vets of Geelong is looking for a Practice Coordinator to lead the day-to-day operations of one of our busy clinics, while supporting an incredible team of vets, nurses, and reception staff.
About Us
We’re a family-owned and operated veterinary practice, proud to care for the pets and people of the Greater Geelong region.
With thriving clinics in Highton, Geelong West, and Lara, along with our new East Geelong clinic, we’re continuing to grow while staying focused on what matters most - creating a workplace where people feel supported, valued, and proud to be part of the team.
Core Values
Everything we do comes back to three simple values:
- Kindness - to our patients, our clients, and each other.
- Trust - supporting one another and working with honesty and respect.
- Teamwork - working collaboratively to achieve the best outcomes for our patients and clients.
We’ve built a workplace culture where people support each other, communicate openly, and enjoy being part of a genuinely caring team.
About the Role
This is a hands-on leadership position where no two days are the same. You’ll play a key role in ensuring smooth clinic operations, supporting staff, coordinating schedules, maintaining high standards of patient care, and delivering an exceptional client experience. Key responsibilities will include:
- Coordinate daily vet and nurse consulting schedules.
- Support consulting vets, nurses, and reception teams.
- Manage workflow, triages, and appointment logistics.
- Assist with administration,
reporting, stock control, and reconciliations.
- Deliver outstanding customer service and handle client concerns professionally.
- Ensure workplace health & safety and infection control standards are maintained.
About You
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
- A confident communicator with strong leadership and team coordination skills.
- Calm under pressure and adaptable in a busy environment.
- Experienced in leadership or team coordination.
- Comfortable with computer systems and administrative tasks.
- Passionate about supporting teams and delivering exceptional client experiences.
- Knowledgeable in veterinary terminology and procedures (preferred).
- A veterinary nursing background is advantageous, but not essential.
Why Join Us?
At Vets of Geelong, we’re passionate about delivering compassionate, gold-standard care for pets and their families. We pride ourselves on our supportive team culture, opportunities for growth and learning, and creating a workplace where animals come first and teamwork matters.
If you're ready to join a dynamic team where your skills and passion will be valued, we’d love to hear from you!
