Health & Fitness Team Supervisor Position No. 1042
Part time ongoing role at 0.8 EFT (flexibility to progress to full time hours based on the preferences of the successful candidate)
Band 5 : $77,357–$88,159 pro rata per annum, plus 12% statutory superannuation
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and motivated Health & Fitness Team Supervisor to join our team at Aqua Energy.
The Health & Fitness Team Supervisor will ensure the provision of high-quality, accessible and inclusive health and fitness services that enhance community health, wellbeing and social connection.
You will lead the health club and group fitness teams, driving exceptional member experiences, growing participation and retention, and fostering a positive, high-performing team culture.
This ongoing 0.8 EFT position offers flexibility to progress to full time hours based on the preferences of the successful candidate.
In this role, you will:
• Lead the safe, efficient and high-quality delivery of health and fitness services, ensuring members receive exceptional experiences and support in achieving their health and wellbeing goals.
• Drive member participation, satisfaction and retention through innovative programs, services and initiatives that respond to community needs.
• Lead, coach and develop the health club and group fitness team, fostering a culture of professionalism, accountability and service excellence.
• Coordinate staffing, rosters and day-to-day operations to maintain high service standards across all operating hours.
• Monitor participation and program performance, using insights to support continuous improvement and achievement of service targets.
• Contribute to training, operational procedures and compliance initiatives that strengthen safety, consistency and service quality.
About You
• Experience in health and fitness, leisure, recreation or a similar customer-focused service environment.
• Demonstrated experience leading and developing staff, with the ability to foster a positive team culture and support high performance.
• A passion for supporting health,
wellbeing and positive member outcomes through engaging fitness programs and services.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing operational priorities, staffing requirements and service delivery expectations.
• Sound knowledge of safety, risk management, compliance requirements and operational procedures within a fitness, leisure or service environment.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage effectively with members, staff, contractors and the broader community.
