State-Wide Earthworks is expanding its Vegetation & Track Works team across Tasmania and seeking experienced, reliable and safety-focused people for a range of vegetation management roles.
Depending on your skills and experience, your work may include operating side arm tractors and vegetation control equipment, ground spraying and chemical vegetation control, chainsaw operation and tree felling, brushcutting and manual vegetation clearing, roadside and utility corridor vegetation management, working around powerline infrastructure, completing pre-starts, risk assessments and required job documentation, and working as part of an experienced vegetation management crew.
Key responsibilities
- Operating side arm tractors and vegetation control equipment
- Ground spraying and chemical vegetation control
- Chainsaw operation and tree felling
- Brushcutting and manual vegetation clearing
- Roadside and utility corridor vegetation management
- Working around powerline infrastructure
- Completing pre-starts, risk assessments and required job documentation
- Working as part of an experienced vegetation management crew
About you
- Previous experience in vegetation management or a related field is preferred and very highly regarded
- TasNetworks Instructed Person accreditation
- Chemcert Certificate
- Chainsaw qualifications/certification
- Tree felling qualifications and experience
- Side arm tractor operating experience
- Ground spraying experience (with Chemcert)
- Roadside vegetation control experience
- Utility or powerline vegetation management experience
- Experience operating safely around traffic and public infrastructure
