We are seeking a Service Configuration Management (SCM) Consultant to join a high-performing Enterprise Service Management team supporting a large-scale, complex technology environment. This role is ideal for an experienced ITSM professional with strong Configuration Management and CMDB expertise who is passionate about improving service visibility, data quality, and operational excellence.
As an SCM Consultant, you will play a key role in designing, implementing, operating, and continuously improving Service Configuration Management processes and capabilities across a multi-vendor environment. You will work closely with technical teams, service providers, and client stakeholders to ensure configuration data is accurate, governed, and enables effective service management outcomes.
About the Role:
- Support the design, implementation, and operation of end-to-end Service Configuration Management processes.
- Maintain accurate and reliable Configuration Item (CI) data and relationships within the CMDB.
- Monitor and improve CMDB data quality, integrity, and compliance.
- Support ServiceNow CMDB, Discovery, and related platform capabilities.
- Assist with integration of configuration data from multiple sources & collaborate with platform teams to optimize CMDB performance & usability.
About You:
You will bring a combination of Configuration Management expertise, ServiceNow experience, and strong stakeholder engagement skills.
- Experience in IT Service Management, Configuration Management, CMDB, or related disciplines.
- Hands-on experience with ServiceNow CMDB and Discovery.
- Knowledge of Configuration Item (CI) modelling, service mapping, and relationship management.
- Understanding of ITIL service management practices.
- Experience supporting large and complex enterprise environments.

Security Clearance Requirement: Given the secure nature of this role, we are seeking candidates who are Australian Citizens with an active security clearance.
This requirement ensures that all team members are cleared to handle sensitive information and contribute to maintaining the highest standards of security in our operations.
On-call and Shift Expectations: Our positions are primarily focused on managed services, meaning you will be responsible for maintaining and improving our clients' IT systems (Applications and Infrastructure). Flexibility and adaptability are key, as you may be required to work in shifts to provide continuous support. Additionally, you may need to be on call to address incidents promptly and perform after-hours deployment activities as needed. Your ability to effectively manage these responsibilities will be crucial to ensuring the seamless operation of our services and client satisfaction
