Gymkidz is expanding to Newcastle, with a new program launching in Merewether, and we’re looking for a dynamic and passionate gymnastics coach to join us from the beginning.
We’re looking for someone who has experience working with children and gymnastics, enjoys creating positive experiences for kids, and is interested in a long-term role with the opportunity to grow as Gymkidz Newcastle expands.
Gymkidz places a strong focus on child development, confidence and movement, and we’re looking for a coach who brings energy, warmth and reliability to every class.
Responsibilities
- Lead and assist with gymnastics classes, keeping children engaged and active
- Deliver fun, creative and developmentally appropriate activities
- Create a positive and inclusive setting for all children
- Maintain high safety standards throughout classes
- Assist with setting up and packing away gymnastics equipment
- Communicate confidently and professionally with parents and guardians
- Work closely with the Programme Director as the Newcastle location grows
Requirements
- Experience working with children and gymnastics is preffered
- Passion for child development and movement
- Confident, energetic and reliable
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to learn the Gymkidz program and coaching approach
- Commitment to the role for at least 12 weeks
Availability
Applicants must be available on Friday afternoons and Saturday mornings from late September.
There will be opportunities for additional hours as the Newcastle program grows, so this role would particularly suit someone looking to build a longer-term career in gymnastics coaching.
