Mental Health Occupational Therapist - Paediatric Focus at FLOW Psychology & Therapeutic Services

Are you a passionate Mental Health Occupational Therapist looking to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children, adolescents and families?
FLOW Psychology & Therapeutic Services is a growing multidisciplinary practice committed to providing high-quality, evidence-based psychological and therapeutic support in a warm, collaborative and client-centred environment. Due to continued growth, we are seeking a Mental Health Occupational Therapist to join our experienced team.
This position offers the opportunity to work within our private practice, supporting clients across a broad range of mental health presentations. While paediatric experience is highly desirable, we are also keen to hear from clinicians who have a robust interest in working with children and adolescents and are committed to developing their skills in this area.
About the Role
As a Mental Health Occupational Therapist, you will:
• Deliver occupational therapy interventions to children, adolescents and, where appropriate, adults
experiencing mental health challenges.
• Complete comprehensive assessments and develop individualised intervention plans.
• Support clients to build emotional regulation, social, sensory, executive functioning and daily living
skills.
• Work collaboratively with psychologists and other allied health professionals to deliver integrated
care.
• Develop strong therapeutic relationships with clients, families, schools and external stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and contribute to best-practice service delivery.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
• Qualification as an Occupational Therapist with additional mental health training and/or endorsement.
• Current AHPRA registration.
• A passion for supporting positive mental health outcomes.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• The ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• A current Working with Children Check (or ability to obtain).
• National Police Check.
• Current drivers licence.
Desirable
• Experience working with children and adolescents.
• Experience working within private practice.
• Knowledge of neurodevelopmental conditions, emotional regulation and trauma-informed practice.
• NDIS experience.
• Willingness to further develop paediatric clinical skills if required.
