About the role
We are seeking an Experienced Educator to join our early childhood team at Vineyard Children's ELC in Vineyard, NSW. This is a full-time position that offers a rewarding prospect to make a meaningful impact on young children's development and learning. As an Experienced Educator, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing, safe, and stimulating environment where children can thrive whilst demonstrating educational leadership within your designated room.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and supervise daily activities and routines, ensuring all interactions are child-centred and developmentally appropriate
- Plan, implement and evaluate engaging learning experiences that promote children's cognitive, physical, social and emotional development in line with the Early Years Learning Framework
- Maintain a safe, clean and welcoming environment that meets all regulatory requirements and standards
- Build positive relationships with children and foster their sense of belonging, identity and wellbeing
- Communicate regularly with families about their child's progress, learning and development through observations and feedback
- Mentor and support other educators, providing guidance and professional development opportunities
- Collaborate with colleagues across the centre to ensure consistent practice and a cohesive approach
- Monitor and document children's learning through observations and assessments, identifying individual strengths and areas for growth
- Ensure compliance with all early childhood education and care regulations, policies and procedures
- Actively participate in professional development to maintain and enhance your knowledge of best practice in early childhood education
What we're looking for
- A recognised Early Childhood Teaching qualification or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care
- Current registration with the Australian Children's Education and Care Quality Authority (ACECQA) or eligibility for registration
- Demonstrated experience working with children in an early childhood education and care setting
- Strong knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework and commitment to play-based learning
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues
- A genuine passion for early childhood education and a commitment to child safety and wellbeing
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment whilst also demonstrating initiative and responsibility
- Sound organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively
- Current First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- A valid Working with Children Check or willingness to apply
