Direct Steel Traders is a growing steel supplier based in Silverdale, NSW, and we're looking for a reliable and motivated Night Shift Storeperson to join our team.
This is a full-time, permanent position offering consistent Monday–Friday hours, a 30% night shift loading, and the opportunity to learn and develop within the steel industry.
Hours & Pay
- Monday to Friday
- 6:00pm – 2:30am
- Competitive hourly rate based on experience
- Advertised hourly rate is inclusive of the 30% night shift loading
- Overtime opportunities available
The Role
Your day-to-day duties will include:
- Reading order paperwork and locating products throughout the warehouse and yard
- Picking steel products using an overhead crane
- Strapping and preparing material for dispatch
- Loading and unloading trucks
- Stock control and general warehouse duties
- Maintaining a clean and safe work setting
- Working as part of a team to ensure orders are picked accurately and ready for dispatch
What We're Looking For
Previous warehouse or steel experience is an advantage, however training can be provided for the right person.
The following would be highly regarded:
- Previous warehouse, stores or yard experience
- Experience loading and unloading trucks
- Steel industry experience
- Overhead crane experience
- Forklift licence
- HR licence
We're looking for someone who is reliable, safety-conscious, physically capable and comfortable working permanent night shift hours.
Important
Due to our Silverdale NSW 2752 location and night shift hours, you must have reliable transport to and from work, five days a week.
⚠️ This is a full-time permanent night shift position and is not suitable as a second job.
