We're looking for an experienced and patient Support Worker to work one-on-one with a participant who has complex behaviours, helping them feel safe, understood, and supported to live their best life.
This isn't an entry-level role. We need someone who is calm under pressure, genuinely skilled in positive behaviour support, and committed to building a trusting, consistent relationship with the person they support.

- Recognise early warning signs and use proactive, de-escalation and positive behaviour support strategies
- Support participants with daily living, community access, and personal goals
- Build stable, trusting relationships through consistency and predictability
- Work collaboratively with Behaviour Support Practitioners, families,
and the broader care team
- Maintain explicit, accurate incident reports and shift documentation
- Respond calmly and safely to challenging situations, following agreed strategies
- Champion each participant's choice, dignity, and rights in every interaction
About You
- Proven experience supporting people with complex behaviours or high-intensity needs (essential)
- Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Disability, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Training or genuine willingness to train in Positive Behaviour Support and restrictive practice awareness
- Calm, resilient, and able to de-escalate difficult situations without taking things personally
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
- Current First Aid & CPR (or willingness to obtain)
- Current Driver's Licence and reliable vehicle (mileage reimbursed)
- Working rights in Australia
What We Offer
- Ongoing training and support in behaviour support strategies
- A supportive team culture with strong clinical backup
- Flexible shifts across a variety of participants and settings
- Genuine investment in your professional development and career growth
- The opportunity to make a real, lasting difference in people's lives
