Your New Role
As our Learning Designer, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping impactful learning experiences that empower our members and teams. You'll lead the design and delivery of engaging, learner-centric content across multiple formats, simplifying complex information and aligning with our strategic goals.
This role requires learning design expertise, with an understanding of educational methodologies to direct the production of digital resources that are visually compelling and facilitate learning for Aware members.
This is a full time contract until June 2027 based in either Sydney or Melbourne CBD offices.
In addition you will:
- Support the design of varied learning content, such as short videos, articles, interactive tools and live session materials;
- Work collaboratively across the education team to support the delivery of projects, in coordination with existing learning design standards and stakeholders;
- Lead end-to-end learning design from concept to storyboard, collaborating with stakeholders to ensure timely and high-quality outputs;
- Conduct content analysis and stakeholder consultation to determine optimal learning strategies; and
- Translate technical and regulatory content into accessible, engaging learning experiences and support the development of digital learning assets while contributing to enterprise-wide learning initiatives.
How do you exceed our expectations?

- Support the application of accessibility standards (WCAG, UDL principles, inclusive design)
- 3+ years' experience in learning design experience design is preferred
- Having learning design expertise, including a solid understanding of adult learning principles, to support the creation of digital resources and sessions that facilitate learning.
- Strong portfolio showcasing content creation across varied formats (eLearning, video, workshops, etc.);
- Ability to simplify complex information and tailor learning to diverse audiences;
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement and project management skills;
- Familiarity with LMS platforms and digital learning tools;
- You are balanced in accepting risk in any decision you face. You are curious to understand risk context and choose to speak up as we simplify, learn and grow.
