CASUAL CHEF – BE PART OF THE ORANGE GROVE HOTEL TRANSFORMATION

The Orange Grove Hotel is looking for passionate, reliable and motivated chefs to join our team as we begin an exciting new chapter.

The hotel is currently being transferred to new owners, with a vision to transform the venue into a lively neighbourhood hub and destination sports venue with a strong food offering. The venue will undergo significant renovations, along with an expanded entertainment offering, creating an exciting opportunity to be part of something new from the ground up.

Our focus is on quality, up-to-date pub food with a regional twist, drawing inspiration from Greek, Italian and Asian street food. The offering will include share plates, smoked meats, wood-fired pizzas and regularly changing menus, designed to appeal to our local community and sports crowd.

With lunch and dinner served daily across multiple areas of the hotel, this is a great opportunity to join a new team and help establish a fresh food offering.

About the Role

Working closely with the Head Chef, you’ll play an important role in delivering quality food and supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of the kitchen.

You’ll be responsible for:

- Preparing and serving fresh, modern pub food to a consistently high standard

- Maintaining food quality, presentation and service standards

- Supporting the Head Chef with day-to-day kitchen operations

- Following food safety, hygiene and compliance standards

- Working as part of a positive and supportive kitchen team

Current shifts available:





- Monday – lunch & dinner

- Tuesday – lunch & dinner

- Saturday – lunch or dinner

- Sunday – lunch or dinner

Weekend shifts are to be confirmed.

We’re looking for someone who is reliable, flexible and happy to pick up additional shifts when required. As the venue grows, there will be opportunities for more regular hours.

About You

- Has commercial kitchen experience and is confident working across a busy service

- Is reliable, punctual and has a great attitude

- Can work independently while following the direction of the Head Chef

- Takes pride in producing quality, consistent food

- Enjoys modern pub food and working with fresh produce

- Works well under pressure and as part of a team

- Is flexible across lunch, dinner and weekend services

- Brings positive energy and a strong team attitude
