About the Chance
ASC is seeking an experienced Senior Solution Architect to join our IT Architecture team and play a key role in shaping the organisation's technology future. In this senior position, you will lead the design and delivery of complex technology solutions that support ASC's strategic objectives, digital transformation initiatives, and operational resilience. Working across multiple programs and stakeholders, you will provide architectural leadership, governance, and trusted advice to ensure scalable, secure, and business-focused outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture and design of complex, enterprise-wide technology solutions across multiple programs and initiatives.
- Translate business strategy and requirements into practical, scalable, and secure solution architectures.
- Provide architectural governance and assurance to ensure alignment with enterprise standards and technology roadmaps.
- Evaluate solution options, manage trade-offs, and recommend approaches that balance business value,
risk, cost, and sustainability.
- Collaborate with senior business leaders, project teams, and technical stakeholders to drive informed decision-making.
- Mentor and support Solution Architects while contributing to the ongoing maturity of the Architecture practice.
- Contribute to ASC's digital transformation by identifying opportunities to modernise and improve technology capabilities.
About you
- Degree qualified in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- 8-10 years experience in ICT solution development disciplines, including applications, integrations and/or middleware technologies.
- Strong understanding of security principles and experience working within secure environments, particularly within Defence, Government, Critical Infrastructure, or similarly regulated industries.
- Strong ability to understand business needs and translate them into effective technical solutions.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to communicate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Demonstrated experience influencing decisions, developing business cases, and delivering outcomes in complex organisations.
Eligibility
This role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance to a NV1 level.
Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearance.
