Now Careers is currently seeking experienced and reliable Machine Operators to join leading steel reinforcement manufacturing facilities located in Glendenning, St Marys and Wetherill Park. Multiple opportunities are available across day, afternoon and night shifts, offering ongoing work, overtime opportunities, and potential long-term career growth.
About the Role as a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for safely operating steel reinforcement manufacturing machinery, handling steel products, and ensuring production targets and quality standards are consistently achieved.

Key Responsibilities

- Operating machinery including MEP, Schnell, Robomaster, KRB, Shilt, Shearline and Pedax cutters
- Operating overhead gantry cranes to move, load and unload steel products
- Completing pre-start checks on machinery and equipment
- Reading and interpreting production schedules, delivery sheets and job specifications
- Preparing loads and ensuring safe handling of steel bundles and materials
- Maintaining a safe, clean and organised work environment
- Following all site safety procedures and company policies
- Meeting daily production targets and quality requirements

Requirements
- Previous machine operation experience within manufacturing, steel, construction, fabrication, or a similar industrial setting
- Experience operating overhead gantry cranes highly regarded
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
- Strong understanding and commitment to workplace health and safety
- Reliable transport and excellent attendance record
- Forklift licence advantageous but not essential
- Ability to pass pre-employment screening if required
