INDEX is partnering with a Federal Government organisation to support the delivery and ongoing enhancement of critical digital platforms and services.

About the role
This position will play a key role in delivering reliable, secure and automated application deployment capabilities across complex technology environments.
Working closely with development, integration, cyber security and platform teams, you will help drive DevOps maturity, cloud optimisation and operational excellence while supporting critical business applications.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop and maintain Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines to support efficient, secure and reliable deployment of enterprise applications.
- Manage and optimise development, testing and production environments, ensuring consistency, stability and performance across deployments.
- Develop automation solutions using PowerShell, Bicep, ARM templates and YAML to improve deployment quality, repeatability and operational efficiency.
- Implement monitoring, alerting and automated testing practices while investigating and resolving complex application and infrastructure issues.

Requirements

- 7+ years' experience as a Senior DevOps Engineer with robust expertise building and maintaining complex Azure DevOps pipelines.




- Proven experience implementing Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD practices using Azure DevOps, GitHub and modern version control strategies.
- Strong experience deploying, administering and troubleshooting cloud environments, including Azure services such as App Service and broader cloud platforms.
- Demonstrated capability developing automation and deployment scripts in PowerShell and collaborating effectively within software development teams.
