You'll love this role if you enjoy understanding how businesses operate, asking thoughtful questions, and turning complex risks into practical recommendations.
This role suits someone who likes variety in their work, values independence, and enjoys building relationships with stakeholders across different parts of the business. You'll spend your time leading audits, reviewing processes and controls, and helping leaders understand where risks exist and what can be improved.
No two audits are the same, which means you'll gain exposure to a broad range of operational, financial, governance and technology risks across Youi. You'll work closely with stakeholders across the business, contribute to meaningful improvements, and be supported by an experienced Internal Audit team that values quality, constructive challenge and continuous learning.
This role is for somebody who want to broaden their audit experience, gain visibility across an entire organisation, and develop the skills and business knowledge needed to progress into future leadership opportunities within Internal Audit. It will particularly suit someone who enjoys understanding both business processes and technology environments and wants to apply their expertise across a diverse range of operational, financial and technology-related risks.
What you'll be doing
- Leading internal audit engagements from planning through to reporting and stakeholder debriefs.
- Reviewing business processes, identifying key risks and controls, and documenting findings in clear, well-supported working papers.
- Assessing operational, financial and technology-related risks, including controls that support the security, reliability and effective operation of key business systems.
- Working with leaders across the business to discuss audit outcomes, recommendations and corrective actions.
- Providing updates on audit progress, emerging risks and matters that may affect scope or timing.
- Supporting and mentoring less experienced auditors while contributing to a collaborative, high-performing team.
What great looks like
- You've previously worked in Internal Audit and can confidently lead audit engagements from planning through to reporting.
- You build credibility with stakeholders by asking good questions, listening carefully and communicating clearly.
- You can identify risks, analyse information and translate findings into practical recommendations that teams can act on.
- You bring experience within financial services and hold, or are working towards, a professional qualification such as CIA or CA.
- Experience auditing IT environments would be highly regarded, particularly where you've assessed IT General Controls (ITGCs), cybersecurity and information security controls, user access management, change management processes, system operations or data protection practices. This experience will help you contribute assurance across both operational and technology-related risks.
If you can see yourself growing into this, you'll likely love it here.
