We're looking for a passionate and culturally grounded Aboriginal Workforce Mentor Trainer or Trainee Trainer to deliver the 11055NAT Course in Mentoring for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Workforce Mentors, a nationally accredited course that equips mentors with the skills to support others into sustainable employment, build confidence and strengthen workplaces.
You don’t need to be an experienced Trainer to apply. If you have solid mentoring, community, employment services or facilitation experience and an interest in developing your training skills, we’d love to hear from you.
Position Details:
- Employment Type: Permanent, Full-time
- Excellent Remuneration: $90k to $95k + 12% super + salary packaging + 5 weeks annual leave
- Reports To: Chief Financial Officer
- Hours: Normal business hours, with flexibility for additional hours as needed
- Travel: This role is primarily based in Darwin. Occasional travel will be required to support program delivery and learners.
This position is identified for an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person and is intended to constitute a special measure under section 8 (1) of the Racial Discrimination Act 1975 (Cth), and section 57 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1996 (NT).

The Role: Reporting to the RTO Manager, you'll deliver or be supported to develop the skills to deliver engaging, culturally safe training using strengths-based approaches that empower learners to become confident mentors within their workplaces and communities.
You'll also:
- Deliver or support engaging face-to-face training and learning activities
- Support learners throughout their training journey
- Develop and adapt culturally relevant training resources
- Maintain accurate learner and training records
- Build strong relationships with employers, communities and key stakeholders
- Contribute to quality training and continuous improvement
- Travel to regional and remote communities when required
About You:
We're looking for someone who:
- Identifies as an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person, with cultural knowledge and commitment to inspire Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to mentor and support others in the workplace.
- Currently holds,
is working towards, or is willing to obtain a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or equivalent.
- Is willing to complete the 11055NAT Course in Mentoring for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Workforce Mentors.
- Has experience in mentoring, coaching, training support, community services, employment services or a similar area.
- Is confident engaging with people and sharing knowledge in a culturally safe and strengths-based way.
- Builds strong relationships and communicates well with people from diverse backgrounds.
- Enjoys working independently while contributing to a collaborative team.
- Experience delivering accredited training or working within an RTO is highly regarded but not essential.
Employment Requirements:

- NT Ochre Card
- Valid Driver Licence
- Current First Aid Certificate
