About the role

Metropolitan Paper is seeking a Paper Sheeter Operator to join our manufacturing team on a casual basis. This role is based in Elizabeth North, SA 5113 and is pivotal to our paper production operations. As a Paper Sheeter Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining paper sheeting machinery, ensuring that paper products are cut to precise specifications and meet our quality standards. This position is essential to our manufacturing process and directly contributes to delivering high-quality products to our customers.

What you'll be doing

- Operating paper sheeting machinery to cut large rolls of paper into specified sheet sizes

- Monitoring machine performance and making adjustments to ensure consistent quality and accuracy

- Loading and unloading paper materials onto and from the sheeting equipment

- Conducting routine maintenance checks and cleaning of machinery to ensure optimal performance

- Inspecting finished products for defects and ensuring compliance with quality specifications

- Maintaining accurate production records and reporting any issues or incidents

- Following all health and safety procedures and protocols on the production floor

- Collaborating with team members to meet production targets and deadlines

- Troubleshooting minor mechanical issues and alerting supervisors to significant problems

What we're looking for

- Proven experience operating paper sheeting machinery or similar industrial equipment in a manufacturing environment

- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work to precise specifications

- Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination

- Basic understanding of machinery maintenance and safety protocols

- Ability to work efficiently in a rapid-paced production environment





- Excellent communication and teamwork skills

- Physical fitness to perform repetitive tasks and stand for extended periods

- Flexibility to work varying shifts as required on a casual basis

- Current or willingness to obtain relevant machinery operation certifications (preferred)

- Experience with quality control and inspection processes (preferred)
