About the role

Heathcote Hotel Group Pty is seeking a talented and passionate Full Time Chef to join our culinary team at our Heathcote, Victoria location. As a full-time position based in Heathcote VIC 3523, you will be at the heart of our kitchen operations, playing a crucial role in delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests. What you'll be doing

- Preparing and cooking a variety of dishes to the highest standard, ensuring consistency and quality across all menu items

- Managing food preparation and cooking techniques in accordance with established recipes and presentation standards

- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe kitchen environment in compliance with food hygiene regulations and health and safety standards

- Collaborating with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow and timely service delivery

- Monitoring food inventory and identifying requirements for stock replenishment

- Adhering to portion control standards and minimising food wastage

- Responding to feedback and making adjustments to dishes as required to maintain quality and customer satisfaction

- Supporting the development of new menu items and contributing creative ideas to enhance the dining experience

- Ensuring all food is prepared in accordance with dietary requirements and allergen protocols

- Contributing to a positive kitchen culture and supporting team members during service periods

What we're looking for

- Proven experience working as a chef or cook in a professional kitchen environment, ideally within the hospitality and tourism sector

- Solid knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods and culinary best practices

- Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene standards and compliance with health regulations





- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment whilst maintaining high standards of quality

- Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks

- A passion for food and commitment to delivering exceptional culinary experiences

- Teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with kitchen and front-of-house staff

- Physical stamina and the ability to stand for extended periods and work in a warm kitchen environment

- Relevant qualifications or certifications in culinary arts or food preparation (desirable)

- Experience with various cuisines or specialised cooking techniques (advantageous)
