The role

You’ve mastered the tax, you know your accounting, you deliver great outcomes for clients.

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Tax Accountant with robust technical foundations who wants to grow beyond traditional compliance and into business advisory and strategy.

You don't need to already be an experienced business advisor. We will mentor you!

You will:

- Prepare and review financial statements and tax returns across companies, trusts, partnerships, individuals and SMSFs

- Provide high-quality tax planning and strategic tax advice

- Working from our Blaxland office, where you'll enjoy being part of a connected and team-focused workplace

- Review work and support junior accountants with technical queries and development

- Identify issues, risks and opportunities within clients' financial results

- Help clients understand what their numbers are really telling them

- Work with business owners on cashflow, profitability, financial performance and better decision-making

- Develop your skills in business advisory,



strategy and commercial conversations

- Build trusted relationships with clients who value having an accountant genuinely invested in their success

- Contribute ideas and expertise to a team that is continually looking for better ways to help our clients

Who we're looking for

You are already a strong accountant. You're technically capable, dependable and take pride in producing quality work.

But you're also interested in the business behind the numbers.

You want to understand why one business thrives while another struggles. You enjoy talking to clients, asking questions and solving problems. You don't just want to lodge the return — you want to help the client make better decisions because of what you've uncovered.

- A degree in Accounting or a related field

- CPA/CA qualification or significant progress towards it

- Strong Australian tax and accounting experience

- Experienced and confident using Xero – this is essential

- Exceptional communication skills both verbal and written

- Extensive experience (at least 3 Years) preparing and reviewing financial statements and tax returns for SME entities

- Experience reviewing SMSFs desired

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

- Confidence communicating with clients

- The ability to guide and support more junior team members

- A willingness to challenge thinking when something doesn't look right





- Genuine curiosity about business and what makes businesses successful
