We are seeking a Boat Detailer to join our dynamic team in Mosman, NSW. You will perform comprehensive cleaning and detailing of vessels, both interior and exterior, working with luxury power boats of various sizes. This role involves hands-on work to maintain and enhance the appearance and quality of our clients' vessels.
Key responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive cleaning and detailing of vessels, both interior and exterior.
- Polish and wax boats to enhance appearance and protect surfaces.
- Remove stains, oxidation, and imperfections using appropriate techniques and products.
- Apply protective coatings and treatments to maintain vessel quality.
- Manage inventory of cleaning supplies, tools, and equipment.
- Ensure tools and supplies are well-maintained and notify management of replenishment needs.
- Handle vessels with care, following safety protocols during work.
- Take full responsibility for the quality and completion of assigned tasks.
- Communicate any issues or challenges to the manager promptly.
- Maintain a professional attitude and appearance at all times.
About you
- 2+ years detailing experience required.
- Must be based in Mosman or able to commute to Sydney NSW
- A driver's licence and your own transport (you'll need to get to marinas quickly when jobs come up)
- Skills in gelcoat restoration, cut & polish, and machine buffing
- Knowledge of marine care and cleaning products, including waxes, polishes, and protective coatings.
- Comfortable using a range of cleaning tools and equipment effectively.
- Comfortable working independently.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with the team and report on job progress.
- Ability to manage time efficiently and complete tasks within deadlines.
- Passion for boats and marine vessels, with a keen eye for maintaining high standards.
- Professionalism and pride in delivering outstanding results.
