Your Therapy
Adelaide
We are looking for an experienced Occupational Therapist with at least two years' clinical experience to join our team as an independent subcontractor.
We offer a genuinely adaptable role. You choose your own days and hours, manage your own diary and decide when you take time away from work. There are no fixed working days or regular roster.
We are a small team, so you will know the people you work with and can easily ask for help when you need it. Support and mentoring are available, but experienced clinicians are trusted to manage their own clinical work without unnecessary supervision or micromanagement.
We also keep administration and internal meetings to a minimum. Our systems are set up to make client management, bookings, billing and documentation as straightforward as possible.
What we offer
- 60–65% of billings, inclusive of superannuation, depending on experience and clinical scope. At the current rate, this is approximately $116–$126 per billable hour inclusive of superannuation.
- Complete flexibility over your working days and hours, with no fixed roster.
- Established referrals available to help build or maintain your caseload.
- Full administrative and telephone booking support.
- Splose practice management software, a Your Therapy SA email address and streamlined administrative systems.
- A MacBook can be provided if required.
- Access to our fully equipped Mitcham clinic, therapy equipment, resources and standardised assessments.
- Opportunity to work from home for Telehealth, reports, documentation and other suitable non-face-to-face work.
- Therapy Assistant support where appropriate.
- Mentoring and clinical support available when you want it.
- Opportunity to increase your caseload and hours over time.
- A mix of clinic, home, school and community-based work across Adelaide.
The role
Your caseload can be developed around your experience, interests and availability.
Your work may include:
- Occupational Therapy assessment and intervention for children and/or adults living with disability.
- Supporting functional independence, sensory regulation, self-care, daily living skills and community participation.
- Functional Capacity Assessments, progress reports, letters of support and other NDIS documentation where this is within your experience.
- Assistive Technology assessment and recommendations where appropriate.
- Working with families, support coordinators, schools, support workers and other members of the client's team.
- Working with Allied Health Assistants where this is clinically useful.
We can provide referrals and administrative support, but we are looking for someone who is comfortable working independently. You will be responsible for managing your own caseload, responding to referrals, communicating with clients and completing your documentation in a timely manner.
Referrals are offered according to your availability, location, experience and the needs of the client. You are free to accept or decline referrals.
About you
We are looking for someone who is clinically capable, reliable and easy to work with.
You will need:
- At least two years' experience as an Occupational Therapist.
- Current unrestricted AHPRA registration.
- Capacity for a minimum of 10 billable hours per week.
- Good clinical reasoning and confidence working independently.
- Strong written communication and report-writing skills.
- Reliable and timely clinical documentation.
- Experience working with people living with disability.
- Professional and responsive communication with clients, families and other providers.
- Current ABN.
- Professional indemnity and public liability insurance.
- NDIS Worker Screening Check.
- Working With Children Check.
- National Police Clearance.
- Current First Aid and CPR.
- Driver's licence and reliable transport for community appointments.
- Mobile phone.
Experience in disability, Functional Capacity Assessments or Assistive Technology, would be highly regarded.
Why Your Therapy SA?
Our clients are at the centre of our practice. We value the relationships we build with them and their families, and we want every person to feel listened to, respected and genuinely supported. Providing a good service to our clients comes first.
We are not a large corporate allied health provider. We are a small Adelaide-based practice with a flexible and practical way of working.
We want clinicians to have the support and resources they need without creating unnecessary administration around them. There is help available when you need it, but your professional autonomy is respected.
If you are an experienced Occupational Therapist looking for flexibility, good administrative support and the freedom to manage your work in a way that suits you and your clients, we would be happy to hear from you.
