Carpentry / Cabinet Making / Vehicle Fit-Out

MacroVan is growing, and we're looking for a skilled, hands-on tradesperson to join our vehicle build team.

This role will work on the interior fit-out of our purpose-built MacroVan vehicles, turning vehicle shells into finished commercial vehicles designed around our customers' operational requirements.

If you come from a carpentry, cabinet making, joinery, caravan/RV, marine or vehicle fit-out background and you're confident on the tools, we'd like to hear from you.

What you'll be doing

Working as part of our vehicle build team, you'll be involved in the manufacture, assembly and installation of vehicle interiors, including:

- Building and installing cupboards, shelving and storage systems
- Installing seating, partitions, flooring, internal panels and fixtures
- Measuring, cutting, drilling, fastening and assembling components
- Working with timber, composite and other fit-out materials
- Assisting with running and fixing electrical wiring harnesses
- Reading and working from drawings, plans and measurements
- Modifying and fitting components to suit individual vehicle requirements
- Using hand and power tools safely and accurately
- Troubleshooting fitment issues and finding practical solutions
- Completing fit-out work to a high standard of finish
- Assisting with other hands-on aspects of the vehicle build process as required

What we're looking for





We're less concerned about where you've developed your skills and more interested in whether you can build, fit, measure and problem-solve to a high standard. You may currently be working as a:

- Carpenter or joiner
- Cabinet maker
- Caravan or RV fitter
- Vehicle fit-out technician
- Coach or bus builder
- Marine fit-out tradesperson
- Vehicle body builder
- Tradesperson in a similar fabrication or manufacturing environment

A relevant trade qualification would be highly regarded, but strong practical experience and demonstrated capability on the tools will also be considered.

You'll need to be someone who:

- Has strong attention to detail and takes pride in their workmanship
- Is confident using hand and power tools
- Can measure and work accurately
- Can interpret drawings and instructions
- Is practical and able to solve problems as they arise
- Enjoys building and creating finished products
- Works well as part of a team
- Can maintain a secure, organised workspace
