This hands-on position will see you managing a broad range of responsibilities across payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing and general finance administration.

Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Accounts Officer to join our client's team based in Welshpool, WA . This is a broad and hands-on finance role responsible for supporting a variety of key financial processes across the business. You will take ownership of payroll, invoicing, accounts payable and accounts receivable, while also supporting reconciliations, compliance requirements and general finance administration.

Key Responsibilities

- Process regular payroll, including new starters, terminations, leave, allowances, deductions and employee reimbursements.
- Complete payroll reconciliations and assist with superannuation, payroll tax and other payroll-related obligations.
- Prepare and issue customer invoices,



including checking pricing and job information and processing credits and adjustments.
- Manage accounts receivable, including allocating customer payments, debtor reconciliations, credit applications and following up overdue accounts.
- Respond to customer account and billing queries in a timely and professional manner.
- Process supplier invoices, match invoices to purchase orders and deliveries, and complete supplier statement reconciliations.
- Prepare and process creditor payments and manage supplier queries and account discrepancies.
- Complete regular bank reconciliations and assist with month-end processes, including journals, balance sheet reconciliations, accruals and prepayments.
- Maintain accurate accounting system data, financial records and documentation, including management of the shared finance inbox.
- Complete contractor hours reports and support staff mobilisation administration, including medicals, accommodation and flights.
- Assist with maintaining finance procedures and process documentation.
- Provide general finance and administrative support to the wider business as required.

Your Profile





The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a broad accounts or finance administration role and be comfortable managing multiple areas of the finance function.

- Essential: Previous experience in an Accounts Officer, Finance Officer, Bookkeeper or similar position.
- Essential: Experience across accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing and reconciliations.
- Essential: Previous payroll processing experience.
- Ideal: Exposure to month-end processes, including journals, accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Ideal: Experience using accounting and payroll systems, with strong Microsoft Excel skills.
- Desired Attributes: Highly organised, reliable and detail-oriented, with a strong focus on accuracy. You will be comfortable working independently, managing competing priorities and meeting deadlines. Strong communication skills and a proactive approach will be highly valued.
