Position Title: Head Chef

Tiny's Sandwich Bar - Sydney CBD, NSW

$80,000 - $85,000 + 12 % Superannuation

Tiny's Sandwich Bar is looking for an experienced Head Chef to join our team! This is a full time, ongoing position, working 38 hours per week, based in Sydney CBD, NSW.

The Head Chef will be responsible for the following duties:
Planning and executing daily menus.
Supervising all food preparation and kitchen operations, ensuring consistency and timely service.
Managing catering events, from menu planning to execution, delivering exceptional food for large-scale functions.
Training and managing a team of kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative environment.
Monitoring inventory, placing supplier orders, and minimizing waste to control costs.
Enforcing strict hygiene and safety protocols in compliance with NSW Food Authority regulations.
Collaborating with management to align kitchen and catering operations with business goals.

What we’re looking for:




At least 3 years of professional culinary experience, including some experience in a leadership or supervisory role.
A Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent) is preferred but not mandatory if you have sufficient experience.
Strong skills in menu planning, food costing, and kitchen management, particularly in high-volume settings.
A valid Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (or equivalent) and a solid understanding of NSW hygiene standards.
The ability to train staff, resolve conflicts, and adapt menus based on seasonal availability and customer preferences.

Job Types: Full time, Permanent

Pay: $80,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
