Key responsibilities
Liaise with North West Tree Services' clients to explain planned tree works, and to ensure the secure management of work sites.
Undertake tree inspections and provide advice to team members, managers, and clients based on those inspections.
Access trees via rope climbing systems or Elevating Work Platforms.
Undertake maintenance pruning on trees, shrubs and palms.
Undertake tree removals.
Maintain all tree work equipment.
Conduct onsite safety management audits and complete safety management documentation.
Review Secure Work Method Statements and other work place procedures at required intervals.
Report damage and vehicle and machine faults to direct manager.
Assist in the provision of on-the-job training for new arborists.
About you
Possession of a recognised trade qualification and completion of a relevant post trade training at Certificate IV or Diploma level from a recognised training organisation; OR possession of a trade certificate and/or possession of the skills, knowledge and experience to perform the duties required of this position.
Hold Construction Card, WAH Certificate & High Risk Work licences applicable to trade.
Police Clearance is necessary.
MR/HR Drivers Licence.
Ability to work from complex instructions and procedures.
Coordination of work in a team environment or ability to work individually under general supervision.
Understand and apply quality control techniques, and can take responsibility for assuring the quality of own work.
Valuable interpersonal and communications skills.
Ability to exercise discretion within the scope of the duties required of the position.
